What we're about

This is a group for anyone whose loved one has died. We chat, learn, play, plan, cry and laugh (and everything in between).

We run free online support groups & events with experts. We sometimes run in-person support groups in London.

If you want more help or support, sign up with our partner Untangle grief: https://www.untanglegrief.com/

Bereavement support group

Talk about your experiences with other people who can relate.

This group will be structured so that everyone has an opportunity to talk. There is no pressure to talk, you can share as much or as little as you would like. You can keep your camera off if you prefer.

Feel free to message me (Emily) with any questions you have. The room opens at 10.55 to allow everyone 5 minutes to get set up before the chat starts.

Join Emma from the Untangle Team and Dr. Parul Dua Makkar as they talk about Dr. Parul's experience of losing a sibling to oral cancer, and her subsequent book, 'Life Interrupted: Dr Dua's Survival Guide. There will be time for a Q&A at the end.

About Dr. Parul Dua Makkar:
Dr. Parul Dua Makkar is a general Dentist with her private practice, PDM Family Dental, in Long Island, NY. She graduated DDS from University of Oklahoma, moved back home to Canada before moving here after marriage. She then completed a year GPR residency at Staten Island University Hospital and now calls Long Island her home. She resides here with her husband and 2 boys who keep her on her toes. Dr. Makkar's life took a different trajectory when she lost her only and younger sibling to Oral Cancer last year. He was a Dentist as well. Since his death, she devotes her time educating doctors and patients alike about risk factors, prevention and advocating for early diagnosis of Oral cancer. She has co-authored several Dental journals, has been presenting lectures to Dentists and has been a guest at several podcasts. She believes oral care is the gateway to overall well being and aims to have open conversations with her patients. She can be reached on Instagram or Facebook @pdmfamilydental.
