  • You’re curious about learning cyanotype printing
  • You’re drawn to the idea of seeing nature as a creative teacher

### You’ll leave with...

### What to Expect

We’ll start the day at Kunstraum Heartspace, where Tali will guide you through mixing and applying the light-sensitive cyanotype solution to your paper.
Then, we’ll step into the introspective part of the workshop. Nienke will lead a gentle guided excursion to a nearby park, where you’ll tune into nature through mindful movement, intention-setting, and creative prompts. You’ll forage materials and use a reflection booklet to capture the insights you receive.
Back in the studio, we’ll share what emerged, compose our prints with foraged and provided objects, and develop them in the sun — watching your compositions turn a vivid, deep blue.

### What is Cyanotype?

Poetically, cyanotype is painting with light.
It’s a historic, camera-less photographic process that involves placing objects on paper coated in a solution of iron salts, exposing it to UV light, and rinsing it in water to create dreamlike white-and-blue images. Simple, beautiful, and meditative.

### Practical Info

  • No prior experience needed — all levels welcome.
  • All materials are included, but if you would like to bring any from home for your composition, you're welcome to.
  • Duration: approx. 4 hours
