What happens in the instant before creation takes form? We invite you to STANDSTILL. An intense, reflective, and experimental duo exhibition bringing to life the restless pause from which the paintings come into being. In this space, identity is not fixed; it is hinted at, shadowed, and revealed through the forms and movements within the works.

Two artists, each with a distinct style, meet in this fragile space, connecting through shared unease and openness. Silhouettes capture moments that cannot be revisited, evoking unresolved emotions, with shadows and light shifting across the forms. Abstraction moves unpredictably, like a mind caught in agitation and unwelcome thoughts. The paintings are the concrete outcomes of this pause, expressions of courage, unsettled perspective, and creative energy.

STANDSTILL is not only to be observed; it is meant to be inhabited. Interactive works invite visitors to inhabit this tension, sensing the intensity and energy that drives creation.

About the artists
a.i.n. is a Berlin-based artist whose work is heavily influenced by sound and his way to process emotions and the past as a tool to express the unspoken. Those constant reminders of the absence of silence and peace are layered upon each other as a reflection of a struggle with an inner noise, which is calming and pushing all at once.a.i.n has exhibited among others in Berlin, Seoul, and Bangkok.

Meltem Cetinoglu is a Berlin-based artist who explores form and perception without fixating on identity. Her silhouettes illustrate how we exist in relation to others and how these experiences evolve over time, much like memory itself. Each painting captures experience, inviting new insights with each viewing. She spends long periods observing people, spaces, and emotions, sometimes to the point of overwhelm, which appears in her work as dramatic contrasts of light and shadow. She has exhibited in Berlin, including at Denizen and Litehaus Gallery.
