Build a support system with people who understand. Alzheimer’s Association® caregiver support groups, conducted by trained facilitators, are a safe place for caregivers, family and friends of persons with dementia to:

• Develop a support system.
• Exchange practical information on caregiving challenges and possible solutions.
• Talk through issues and ways of coping.
• Share feelings, needs and concerns.
• Learn about community resources.

Meets on the third Mondays of every month.

Do you enjoy flipping through cookbooks to decide what to make?
Do you search through recipes for inspiration?
Come join our monthly book club, featuring cookbooks! Just register, pick a recipe from the specified cookbook, make the dish on your own, and then gather for a feast. While you eat, you can discuss the cookbook, its recipes and the process of choosing what to make and how to make it. We will aim to evenly distribute the recipes among starters and sides, main courses, and desserts.
You do not need to be an experienced cook, just an enthusiastic one!

How Do I Participate?
Register for the program.
Visit the Adult Reference Desk to view the cookbook and pick a recipe. Some copies are available to borrow.
Let us know which recipe you picked. You can call, email, or visit in person.
Then bring in your dish for a fun potluck!

About the Book

Join CT DEEP forester David Irvin to learn about his forestry assessments for Berlin Land Trust properties. Irvin will discuss those assessments along with basic principles of forest health, climate change, and wildlife habitat.

### About the Presenter

David Irvin is a forester for the Forestry Division of the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. He has performed forestry assessments for two Berlin Land Trust properties. One assessment was done on Lamentation Mountain after the 2024 Hawthorn Drive Fire.
