Learn to turn your own pen using a lathe with the Central Connecticut Woodturners.
No registration required. Drop in any time between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm! Creating your pen takes approximately 20-30 minutes, and you’ll take home your own handcrafted wooden pen!

## How It Works

• This program is free, and all materials are provided by the Central Connecticut Woodturners.
• Before getting started, you’ll receive safety instructions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
• A skilled member of the Central Connecticut Woodturners will guide you through using the lathe to create the body of your pen, then help you assemble your final product.
• The process typically takes about 20 to 30 minutes. If there is a wait, you are welcome to peruse the library!

## Ages

This program is open to children age 10 and older. Children age 8 to 9 may participate with adult assistance.
