About us
Group founded by the organizers Re(a)d Wedding, which is a monthly open mic on the last Monday of every month. RW also prints zines, hosts editing sessions, organizes book markets and more. All of our events are posted in this group, curated by the Kollektiv members: Brooks, Johanna, Agnesa & Maggie among many other supporters. Our events welcome all languages and themes, but will not tolerate racism, Islamophobia, sexism, queerphobia, transphobia, or any such form of hate.
This group intends to bring together individuals interested in sharing their writing, hearing and supporting others' work, or just to spend a night doing something a bit different, particularly in the northern neighborhoods of Berlin in which these events happen less often. This is not a group only for the Re(a)d Wedding Kollektiv. If you're an organizer and interested in posting events here that are happening in neighborhoods like Pankow, Mitte, Wedding or Moabit, we're all ears.

Read Wedding: Monthly Open Mic & Writing Session

Whether you're poetry-curious or a seasoned performer, join us for our monthly open mic night at Hank Chinaski! This event is brought to you, for free**, by the Re(a)d VVedding Collective, who organize regular events for all phases of the writer's journey, all in the northern Kiez(es) of Berlin.
Join us for our core event which has been going on in Wedding for over three years. You are most welcome to share your work (or that of writers you admire) & meet fellow enthusiasts through this event. All written works & languages are welcome, though bigotry, racism, transphobia, Islamophobia, antisemitism (which is not Anti-Zionism), and so on are not welcome in this space.
Format - 3 sections:
- Sections 1 & 2: ≈12 performers (≈6 per section, kicking off at 19:30)
- Section 3: Around 21:30, we'll hold space for a writing session and optional sharing afterwards. This open mic is not only about already “finished“ work! For the readings, priority is first given to those who haven't read earlier in the evening & especially to first-time readers!
**Donations:
- While our open mic will always be free, we do happily accept donations via Eventbrite or at the door.
- Donations do not guarantee a reading slot, but help support us in putting in this event, others around Wedding, Pankow and Moabit, and our ongoing zine publications. We appreciate it deeply and as a small collective, will put it to good use!

Read Editing: Monthly Writers Meetup for Sharing, Feedback & Co-Creating
Kowski, Wilhelmshavener Straße 4, 10551, Berlin, DE**We're now hosting these meetups on Tuesdays rather than Mondays. Join us on the second Tuesday monthly, hosted in the northern and less-frequented neighborhoods serving Berlin's creatives.
About the Event
Most events for writers are focused around creation or performance. Much comes between this, yet we do not always hold each other through that phase. This gathering is for holding, built for all of your “in-between works” and in-progress bending of forms.What this means: there is no set format to the gathering. We rather will determine the evening's approach based on who's arrived and what their goals are. You may expect some combination of solitary writing time, sharing/feedback, and guided exercises. We'd love for you to show up however you are, and with some writing materials or a device.

monostate: a workshop at PRINTERHOF by konter studios
Vagabund Brauerei Kesselhaus, Oudenarder Str. 16-20, 13347, Berlin, DEJoin us for our the first workshop of the day at the fifth PRINTERHOF Zine & Bookmaking Fair. Facilitated by Sascha Schilling of konter studio, this is a *ticketed* zine-making workshop with a (meta)theme on books and storytelling. Participants will be challenged to reflect on stories which have left a mark on them in some significant way. By reflecting on the written and spoken, perhaps that childhood book you still read from time to time, we will concept, develop and quite literally bind together each of our individual reflections to finish a physical zine together.
Facilitation is available bi-lingually in English and German as needed, and texts can be in any language. Tickets may be acquired here.
What you can bring:
- A laptop and charger, if you want to work on anything digitally
- Books, photography, magazines and even stuffed toys or whatever, as everything can be scanned and used. Preferably something that means something to you.
What you'll leave with:
A printed zine in A5 with your work, together with everyone else’s. The final concept might form itself during the workshop and how much sense mixing different outcomes makes.Please Note: While PRINTERHOF's primary book fair is fully accessible, all workshops are hosted on the first floor of our venue, a brewery housed in an old light bulb factory. As an old building, there is unfortunately no lift to this first floor. Please note that one flight of stairs is required for participation in this, or any other workshop during PRINTERHOF on November 22nd, 2026.

PRINTERHOF: Local Zine & Bookmakers Fair by re(a)d vvedding
Vagabund Brauerei Kesselhaus, Oudenarder Str. 16-20, 13347, Berlin, DEIf you are looking to explore the independent and limited-print zine scene in Berlin, this is the market for you! Dozens of established local publishers, radical zinemakers, and unexpected media pop-ups will grace the presence of the Vagabund Brauerei Kesselhaus on the afternoon of Sunday, November 22nd in the fifth edition of this growing market organized by Re(a)d Wedding.
The schedule
- 11:00 - monostate, a zinemaking workshop with Sascha Schilling. Runtime: two hours, please purchase your tickets here if you'd like to join.
- 12:00 - Main level market and bar opens, including coffee and snacks. A full food menu is available beginning at 13:00.
- 13:00 - Our Wedding Era: a cabaret and dance performance by Imogen Huzel and Inka Pehkonen. More info on this free event here.
- 14:30 - Write like the Wind, a creative writing workshop with Nyla Nox. Runtime: 60-90 minutes, please purchase your tickets here if you'd like to join.
- 16:00 - Upstairs level open with the Queer Zine Library and interactive making with trashumantes.
- 17:00 - Readings from ARBORS: Ed. 3, zine of collected micro-works from the Re(a)d Wedding writing sessions.
- 18:00 - Market close, bar remains open through the evening!
