About us
Group founded by the organizers Re(a)d Wedding, which is a monthly open mic on the last Monday of every month. RW also prints zines, hosts editing sessions, organizes book markets and more. All of our events are posted in this group, curated by the Kollektiv members: Brooks, Johanna, Agnesa & Maggie among many other supporters. Our events welcome all languages and themes, but will not tolerate racism, Islamophobia, sexism, queerphobia, transphobia, or any such form of hate.
This group intends to bring together individuals interested in sharing their writing, hearing and supporting others' work, or just to spend a night doing something a bit different, particularly in the northern neighborhoods of Berlin in which these events happen less often. This is not a group only for the Re(a)d Wedding Kollektiv. If you're an organizer and interested in posting events here that are happening in neighborhoods like Pankow, Mitte, Wedding or Moabit, we're all ears.

Read Editing: Monthly Writers Meetup for Sharing, Feedback & Co-Creating
Kowski, Wilhelmshavener Straße 4, 10551, Berlin, DE**We're now hosting these meetups on Tuesdays rather than Mondays. Join us on the second Tuesday monthly, hosted in the northern and less-frequented neighborhoods serving Berlin's creatives.
About the Event
Most events for writers are focused around creation or performance. Much comes between this, yet we do not always hold each other through that phase. This gathering is for holding, built for all of your “in-between works” and in-progress bending of forms.What this means: there is no set format to the gathering. We rather will determine the evening's approach based on who's arrived and what their goals are. You may expect some combination of solitary writing time, sharing/feedback, and guided exercises. We'd love for you to show up however you are, and with some writing materials or a device.

Free Walking Tour: Indie Book Shops of Neukölln (+ writing with Madhvi Ramani)

As you (now over 1,000 members!) know, the primary focus of this group is to center events for writers and creatives in the less-frequented neighborhoods of Berlin (Wedding, Moabit, Pankow, u.s.w.). But certain opportunities call for exceptions, and this tour is one of them.
Curated by ivallan's second hand & exceptional books, join us for a free walking tour of Neukölln's independent bookshops. Guided by Re(a)d Wedding and FLORETS Press founder M.P. Brooks, this is the perfect way to familiarize yourself with local shops, get your holiday shopping out of the way, stock up on your winter reads, and meet fellow book lovers.
**Starting location will be shared with guests who RSVP a few days before the tour. Limit 15 participants**
This is the first of two September dates. At the end of this tour, around 18:00 or 18:30, we will have a special event for participants at ivallan's entitled Bookshops as writing portals with Madhvi Ramani. We will end our tour with 40 or so minutes of collaborative listening, reading and writing.

Monolog: A workshop on cathartic storytelling by re(a)d wedding

Please join us for MONOLOG: a workshop on cathartic storytelling. We'll gather in the late morning on Saturday, September 12th, K26: a new space run by the legendary team behind Lettrétage, one of the best venues for literature events in Berlin. Let's all take part in shaping their next legendary space together! Please note the address in Schöneberg, and be sure to pick up your ticket for participation here. The workshop is limited to 10 participants.
MONOLOG is a great fit for up-and-coming performers, spoken-word poets & those of you wanting to explore your expressive voice. Through a series of activities, we will explore different methods of finding our story, engaging with the stage, and ways of shifting meaning through voice and embodiment of our words.
The goal is for you to find your voice and grow more confident in performing on stage. We will explore three core concepts in crafting and performing powerful pieces: honesty, presence and rhythm.

Your Hosts
- Bubamarrë 🐞 a Berlin-based Albanian writer and spoken-word performer, co-organizer of Re(a)d Wedding. With a long history of hosting slam-poetry events and workshops in their home country Kosovo, their approach to crafting experiences aims to engage your authentic self in a safe and playful environment, drawing from their decade-long experience as a game designer.
- Brooks is an event producer, musician and poet grown in Chicago, (should be in )Ontario. A fellow organizer of the Kollektiv behind this event, they specialize in abstract wor(ks/d play) which intends to blend lines of predetermined poetic expectations.
