Read Wedding 🎂 3rd Birthday Readings + 📖 Zine Launch: Arbors, Ed. 2

Happy birthday to us, your open mic in the north of Berlin has been around for three years! Mark your calendars to celebrate with us, for this will be a special one.

Please keep in mind that this is not our normal open mic format. There will be some chances to read, but far less slots than usual and the first section (which we explain below) will be curated readings of our newest zine release. If you are looking to read in the usual open mic format, please join us just a few weeks later on December 15th 🙏

ARBORS is a collection of pieces written during the monthly sessions which follow each Re(a)d Wedding open mic. These works were written in 15 minutes or less based on at least one prompt from something read earlier in the evening, and we may be biased...But the quality of what YOU can put forth in such a brief sprint is nothing short of incredible. We are so honored to be presenting our second collection, featuring 15 writers. The zine will be available for 5 € to help us print future works and support those behind the project, including our incredible designer Juli Cordray from textur mag. The schedule:

19:00 doors, 19:30 readings from the zine (including some or all of: Robert, Maggie, Johanna, Adrianne, Bubamarrë, Rachel, Brooks, Cedric, Andrea & Tesa) followed by free cake for all who would like it 🎂

21:00 a special, one-time creative gathering. you may expect something like our writing session, but including more hands-on options to spark your creativity. Hank Chinaski's grand piano and a guitar will be available for noodling and background music as it suits the group. As we do at the writing sessions which birthed our two ARBORS zines, we expect this to be when performances will be open to all guests. During this time, you will be welcome to share works written right then and there during our creative time.

To repeat: The reading slots are NOT for pre-written works. If you are interested in sharing your pre-written works, please join us on December 15th or on the last Monday of each month in 2026.
