We are a diverse group with people from all over the world and varying skill levels. Our events are an excellent venue to make new friends. Most people speak English.

Park Volley โ๏ธ ๐ ๐ด @ Hasenheide

This event is not suitable for complete beginners.
We play with two nets. The "chill court" is for mixed-level play with 3v3 up to 5v5. The "competitive court" is for higher-level 2v2 play with beach rules.
Be sure to wear suitable sports clothing, and consider bringing a drink.
Location: We play in the narrow clearing, located between the two paths in the center of Hasenheide park, on the southern side. We'll post updates in the WhatsApp group.
Facilities: The park has no facilities such as changing rooms or showers. A nearby public toilet is also available, but it may be closed, dirty, or out of toilet paper.
RSVP: Add yourself to the waitlist, even if others are already on it. The waitlist is not chronological, so even if there are 30 people on there, you still have a chance! If you get a spot, you will be moved to the attending list and notified by Meetup. This is a free event with limited space. If you can't make it, promptly update your RSVP to NO so others can take your place. If you do not show up or cancel last minute, you will be marked as a no-show, reducing your chances of getting off the waitlist in the future.
Payment: This event is free, but you are invited to make a 2 EUR donation towards equipment.
Attending: Do not join if you have an infectious disease. You must be on the attendee list to attend; being on the waitlist is not enough. Do not bring friends who are not on the attendee list. Showing up without having a valid RSVP will get you banned.
Safety: Mind the terrain. The grass might be uneven and contain items such as bottle caps. It is not suitable for diving or playing like on a beach. Be careful not to twist your ankle. Keep an eye on your belongings since we are in a public park. We do not have a full first aid kit available. Please inform the organizer of any medical conditions that might require attention during the event.

Chill Beach Volley ๐ Beach Mitte

We play in domes heated to at least 15C.
This event is for everyone who enjoys chill games and is not a complete beginner (A1.5+). We play 3v3 (or 4v4) with beach rules. No trainers are present at this event. Register via the simultaneous event for higher-level 2v2 matches (F1+).
After playing, you can join us for socials with drinks and snacks at the bar area. We often play a social deduction game, which you're also welcome to join.
We recommend coming 10 minutes early so you have time to change and find the fields. If it is your first time, 15 minutes might be even better.
You can join whatever court you like and move between courts during the event. We self-organize, so after a game, you can start a rematch, switch courts, or take a break as you see fit. Upon arrival, join the warm-up happening on one of the courts.

Payment: You pay in advance via Meetup. Payment via PayPal or Urban Sports Club is not possible.
Refunds: The venue does not provide refunds. Thus, we cannot refund you either, even if the event is canceled due to bad weather. If you know you can't make it in advance, you can try selling your spot to someone else via WhatsApp or the comment section. In the rare cases that we cancel an event due to poor attendance, everyone gets a full refund.
We may take and share photos publicly, such as on Meetup or Instagram. You can opt out by letting the organizer know you don't want to be photographed.

We play in domes heated to at least 15C.
If you are not yet at the intermediate level (F1+) or want to play 3v3/4v4, sign up via the simultaneous event instead.
We play with beach rules: no open hands for the first or last touch, no touching the net, etc. We overbook slightly to ensure we have enough players and to let people take breaks.
After playing, you can join us for socials with drinks and snacks at the bar area.
