On 7 June 2023 at 9:00am PT, we are hosting the virtual training session "YugabyteDB DBA Fundamentals”.
In this virtual training, you will learn about how to install, create, and manage a YugabyteDB cluster for a variety of deployments: on-premises, cloud provider, and Kubernetes. Ideal for both database and systems administrators, this course also covers security and database operations.
Bring your curiosity and join us as we dig into the fundamentals of YugabyteDB for database administrators. Experience with structured data, relational database systems, SQL, and Bash shell scripting is helpful, but not required. Additional knowledge of various cloud providers and Kubernetes is beneficial. This course is ideal for Administrators and Architects.

On 14 June 2023 at 6am PT, we are hosting the virtual training session "YugabyteDB YSQL Development Fundamentals”.
Yugabyte Structured Query Language (YSQL) is a fully-relational API with high degree of PostgreSQL compatibility. In this virtual training, you'll discover how YSQL supports both Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Manipulation Language (DML). Topics include database object creation, data manipulation, queries, and joins.
With your instructor as your guide, you'll dive into hands-on labs that show you how to create a YugabyteDB Managed free tier cluster, connect to your cluster using Cloud Shell and other tools, create a database, load data, and process queries with joins between tables.
Basic knowledge of structured data and database concepts is helpful, but is not required. As a course for beginners, you'll be introduced to YSQL and will have an opportunity to complete hands-on labs in YugabyteDB Managed Cloud Shell and other tools. You'll create a database with tables, load data, and execute queries. This course is ideal for: Administrators, Developers, Architects, and Business Users.

Our next YugabyteDB Friday Tech Talk (YFTT) takes place on LinkedIn Live, Friday 16th June at 9:30am PT.
Join Yugabyte Solutions Architect Amit Chauhan and Co-Founder Kannan Muthukkaruppan as they discuss how YugabyteDB's distributed architecture achieves seamless horizontal scaling as well as high availability for modern applications under node, zone or region failures.
During this talk, we'll also demonstrate these concepts using a live application running against a YugabyteDB cluster while the cluster undergoes changes such as node additions or failures.
We hope you are finding these tech talks useful. If there is a specific topic related to distributed SQL and YugabyteDB that you would like us to cover, please let us know.

On 21 June 2023 at 8:30pm PT, we are hosting the virtual training session "YugabyteDB YSQL Development Intermediate”.
Modern transactional applications require a distributed SQL database that supports almost 50 years of SQL advancements. In this virtual training, you will learn more about the Data Definition Language features of Yugabyte SQL (YSQL), which is highly compatible with PostgreSQL.
These YSQL language features include column constraints, indexes, views, expressions, operators, built-in functions, user-defined functions, and triggers. Additionally, this course will cover compatible extensions for YSQL.
For folks who have previously achieved YugabyteDB certification, this course is ideal. You should be already familiar with YugabyteDB key concepts, terminology, and features. Additional experience with structured data, relational database systems, SQL, and Bash shell scripting is helpful. This course is ideal for Developers and Architects.
