Let's hike to Kyritz an der Knatter and visit the Insl beergarden (15 to 21 km)

Let's go to the nord-west of Berlin, and hike along the Kyritzer Seenkette to the infamous town Kyritz an der Knatter! Along the hike, we can have a break at the Insl beergarden and spend some time at the lake.

We'll meet at 10:24 at the train station Neustadt (Dosse). That station can be reached by hopping in Berlin Hbf on the RE8 train leaving at 9:20.

From Neustadt, we will walk along the Dosse stream to Wusterhausen (not Königs Wusterhausen); from there, we will walk quite a bit along the lakes of Kyritzer Seenkette. If we find a good spot, we can have a break at the lake. At one point, a ferry allows us to reach an Island on which the Insl beergarden is located: https://www.insl.de/

On the Island, we can deside for how long we want to stay. We have a couple of options:

• Leave around 15:30, do a further 6 km hike and catch the bus leaving Kyritz around 18:00. You will be back in Berlin around 19:30.
• Leave around 17:00, walk 3 further km and catch also the bus leaving around 18:00.
• Leave arond 17:30, do a further 6 km hike and catch the train leaving Kyritz at 20:15. You will be back in Berlin around 21:30.
• Leave around 19:00, walk 4 further km and catch the train leaving at 20:15

Note: At the beergarden, you can get drinks and/or food and just sit in the garden on the lawn. If you want to sit at a table, it is recommendable to reserve a table in advance. I can offer to reserve a table. Please write a quick comment below if you want to be included in the reservation. Please understand that having a reserved table spot requires the strong commitment to actually join the hike.

Important things to note:

• You can use a Deutschlandticket to reach Neustadt Dosse and to get back from Kyritz to Berlin. If you do not have a Deutschlandticket, feel free to check the comments whether someone wants to share a Berlin-Brandenburg-Ticket. Single tickets will be around 26 Euros.
• To use the ferry, we have to get a ferry ticket for 3 Euros.
• This is an average hike with a longish distance. Thus, you should wear suitable shoes. Please expect some muddy or sandy ground here and there.
• You are all responsible for yourself. None of us is mountain guide or something like that.
• There won't be too many Späties around, so have enough water and food with you.
• Please understand that the number of spots on this hike is limited. Hikes are only fun in small-ish groups. Thus, please only sign up if you are sure that you will come. If there is a wait list, feel welcome to join the wait list. However, please also remove yourself from the waitlist in case you have made other plans. Otherwise you might get a spot without being able to take part.
