Summer evening walk to the James Hobrecht Bier&Garten (8 km)

During these hot days, it is always good to spend at least the evenings outside in a relaxed and (more or less) chill atmosphere!

So, let's do today a walk to a beer garden in the middle of rural Hobrechtsfelde. The James Hobrecht Bier&Garten describes itself this way:

We have food and drinks, and even good music. One kilometer from the Berlin city limits, you'll find our beer garden surrounded by greenery, a great place to breathe and relax. We're a welcoming place; everyone is welcome. We value good wines, good beer, and a diverse selection of drinks. We also offer a small, weekly changing menu and homemade cakes on the weekends. We don't serve fries, because others can do that better. By the way: You're also welcome to bring your own food and enjoy it with us in the beer garden.

We will meet today at 19:50 at the S-Bahn station Zepernick, just on the platform. From there, we will walk for 3 km to Hobrechtsfelde.

We might spend one or two hours at the beer garden (according to Google Maps, it is closing at 22:00). Afterwards, we will be heading back to either Zepernick or Buch.

As the Perseids meteor shower is not completely over yet, we might be even lucky and see one or the other shooting star (note: if you choose to have a bit more beer or wine at the beer garden, you might be seeing even more - yet I cannot guarantee for authenticity then).

Note:

• Please be on time at the meeting point.
• I do not know how full it will be at the beer garden. If you want to be prepared for the case that all seats are taken, bringing a blanket might be a good idea.
• On our way back, it will be dark and we will go mostly along unlit paths. Having a flashlight with you might be a good idea.
• Be prepared for mosquitoes.
• You are all responsible for yourself.
