Irvine Loop of 16 miles

Details
This is one of my favorite routes. It combines 4 great Irvine bike paths and is just under 16 miles. We’ll meet at Harvard Park and travel counter-clockwise, starting along the Peters Canyon Trail. We then connect to the San Diego Creek Trail, work our way down to the Jeffrey Trail, then at Portola we get on the Hicks Canyon Trail, and finally back on the Peters Canyon Trail to the start.
The Route Map can be found here:

Bring your bike with inflated tires, spare tubes and an air source, helmet, gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen, water/snack, and a cell phone. Your bike should have gears and should be of the “road" or “hybrid" variety. If you have an e-bike, please familiarize yourself with the rules of the area in which we are riding to see if your bike is allowed on this trail before signing up.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time so we can push off shortly thereafter.
NOTE: Be familiar with your bike and its controls before signing up. We ride at an average speed of 10 mph as this is the posted speed limit on many bike trails. On streets and on downhills, we can (and will!) go faster. While we will make every attempt to stay together, if you cannot keep at this pace, it would be a good idea to practice riding on your own a bit before joining us. That said, this is NOT a competitive riding group. We ride recreationally with the goal of getting some exercise. Hope you can join us!
Possible lunch afterwards. I’m thinking of heading to Piadina at 3850 Barranca Pkwy Suite C, Irvine, CA 92606 or DonerG Kabob a few doors down. But there are a lot of great food options in this shopping center!
