nyc Transparency Working Group & the "Open NY" pledge

About the Open NY Event:

Representatives from the advocacy group Reinvent Albany will talk about the NYC Transparency Working Group (nycTWC). This group works with New York's largest civic and civil liberties groups and leading technologists to use technology to open up NYC Government. The NYC-TWG seeks to make New York City’s digital data easily available and usable by the public, promote economic development, and technological innovation.  We will also discuss the Cuomo Adminstration's campaign pledge to create "Open NY" a digital transparency and participation initiative.

It was excellent. Really great that an entity is focusing on organizing and presenting the ideas and energies of the open government movement to Albany and City Hall.

Highly informative, perhaps discussion in more simple language as to allow for those who are new to the political space to benefit.
