NYC School of Data 2024
Details
NYC School of Data is a day-long celebration of public interest tech, open data, and general civic nerdery! This year, it will take place on Saturday, March 23rd, and it will conclude NYC Open Data Week (March 16-24, 2024).
Sessions consist of community and government-led classroom-style discussions, trainings, and workshops. Highlighted conversations include the future of public interest artificial intelligence with City and State elected officials, a presentation from the New York State Attorney General's Office on how public data was used to highlight racial disparities in homeownership; how the City is using emerging technologies like drones and artificial intelligence to cut back on building emissions and monitor air quality; and how NYC’s leading data journalists research their stories.
