HOW IT WORKS
1. Register for events by taking the Social Type quiz here.
2. Purchase an Eventbrite ticket on our website, or go to here. Select your Social Type during ticket purchase, then attend event.
NOTE: You must take quiz to know your Social Type. Purchasing a ticket without taking the quiz (randomly selecting a Social Type for the ticket purchase) will make the event less enjoyable for you. Please accept taking the quiz as a requirement of attending an event.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE EVENT
For Friending, or Mingle events, we match people to groups according to their Social Type. For Dating, or Singles events, we match everyone individually to their best matches based on Social Type compatibility.
Think of it like the Harry Potter sorting-hat for finding who will be your best friend, or something more. We sort only into four groups. We look after the seating arrangements (who sits with who), and provide some suggestions for conversation starters to help get things going.
For the first hour, you sit with a nominated group (friending events), and rotate to chat with people just in that group. Or, for Dating events, you rotate within a specific group of dates for the first hour. For the second hour, there will be free mingling with the other groups. This way, you can decide if our matching by Social Type leads to better conversations in the first hour rather than the second.
NOTE: Quiz information will never be shared with other members, other than simply stating your Social Type at an event (one of four groups). We name these after playing cards. So the Spades, the Clubs, the Diamonds and the Hearts. We like to keep it pretty simple.
