Looking for an excuse to read more, meet new people, and have the kind of conversations that usually start with, “Okay… but can we talk about that ending?”
Between the Lines is a monthly fiction book club for women on Vashon Island who live for a good story and would like to meet more people in our community. A new novel will be selected each month, and our meetups will be at one of Vashon’s cozy cafés, wineries, breweries, or other local spots to chat about it over a drink or a bite to eat.
We’ll read a mix of literary fiction, mysteries, thrillers, historical fiction, contemporary fiction, and the occasional modern classic. Some books will be fan favorites. Some will completely divide the group. That’s half the fun.
Whether you’re the type to annotate every page or you barely finished the book on the ferry over, you’ll fit right in. Every perspective is welcome.
Our first meetup is Thursday, August 20 (location TBD) and we’ll be discussing The Calamity Club. Grab a copy and join us!
