About us

Beyond Arrival is a Shanghai-based community connecting international visitors and residents with interesting local people from different professions, backgrounds, and walks of life.

We believe the best way to understand Shanghai is not simply by visiting its landmarks, but by meeting the people who live here, sharing conversations, discovering local neighborhoods, and experiencing the everyday rhythm of the city together.

Through our City Host experiences, community gatherings, cultural activities, and local collaborations, we bring together people who are curious about Shanghai and open to meaningful cross-cultural connections.

Whether you are new to Shanghai, visiting for a few days, or have lived here for years, you are welcome to join us, meet new people, exchange perspectives, and discover another side of the city.

Come for Shanghai. Stay for the people.
