“Art in the Elements”: An Extravaganza of Floral Sculptures at Cranbrook

There are flowers—and then there are flowers.

There are sculptures—and then there are sculptures.

There is art-- and then there is art.

And when all three—flowers, sculpture, and art—come together in one creation after another, wow! It can be absolutely stunning.

I am inviting you to join me for a Meetup at “Art in the Elements,” hosted by Cranbrook House & Gardens, and by the American Institute of Floral Designers.

After we enjoy the displays, invite you to join me for lunch in the area.

This Meetup will give you a great start to your day and plenty of time in the afternoon for relaxation or other activities.

“Art in the Elements”

2017 was the first year of “Art in the Elements.” It was a great success, so Cranbrook is bringing it back this year.

The floral sculptures you will experience have not been seen before and will not be seen again. You are going to see the work of professionals. Every artist is a member of the American Institute of Floral Designers.

Photography for personal use is welcomed. Due to the crowds, tripods probably are not safe. I’d encourage you to approach this as a hand-held photography expedition.

Meetup Price

I will keep my prices low. Please bring $35. Cash is preferred. I’ll collect that from you before we go in to view the exhibits.

So . . . why would you pay me when you can go on your own?

With me, you will learn how to expand your artistic vision and creativity.

You will discover “secrets” of exposure and composition.

You will deepen and enrich your understanding of color, pattern, line, and
form.

You will receive individual guidance pertaining specifically to your own photography.

You will discover new ways of seeing.

My education in art and photography comes from a combination of books, visiting art museums, receiving training from accomplished photographic artists, and from producing and exhibiting art.
