BTCEB Gala Ride Saturday June 29th at Joaquin Miller Park!

Details

Join us on SATURDAY JUNE 29TH for our next BTCEB Gala ride as we once again romp through the redwood trails of JOAQUIN MILLER PARK! As always this will be a fun time looping through one of the parks BTCEB helps maintain. We will be riding the Big Trees loop, climbing up Sunset, catching the view of the Oakland skyline, and dropping down the fast and fun Cinderella. The advanced groups will also rip down Chaparral and Castle Park while others may venture across Skyline to catch a few trails in Redwood.

Should be an awesome time as always!

Meet at:

JOAQUIN MILLER PARKING LOT - ELEPHANT BARN
3594 SANBORN DR
OAKLAND CA 94602

We will gather at 9am at the Elephant Barn parking lot and hit the trails promptly at 9:30am.

The ELEPHANT BARN parking lot is within the JOAQUIN MILLER PARK on Sanborn Dr. Head up Joaquin Miller Rd to the park entrance and turn into the park on Sanborn Dr. Go just past the community center/ranger station lot and make a left into the larger parking lot, which is the Elephant Barn lot.

Join us for refreshments and snacks after the ride. A well-tuned mountain bike is a must!

  • We offer rides for ALL SKILL LEVELS, from novice to advanced. We will separate into at least 3 levels of riders: The beginner group, group C, will ride around 8 miles and 900ft of elevation gain; the intermediate group, group B, will ride around 10 miles and 1500ft of elevation gain; the advanced group, group A, will ride around 15+ miles and 1500+ ft of elevation gain. All rides are ‘no-drop’ rides (we won’t leave you behind or let you get lost) and are fully supported. A novice rider should be able to ride 10-12 miles ( including ~1000ft of climbing) on hilly narrow singletrack for 2.5 hrs.
