Basic Studio Overview Workshop

This is the first in a series of workshops designed to give you an overview of and teach you about the main components of a commercial recording studio.

This is a beginner workshop but also good for those who are advanced but would like to understand commercial studios better.

We'll be going over signal flow, patch bays, mic panels, mic preamps, microphone types and basic use/theory, speaker and headphone monitoring basics,

AND.... one of the most important things you'll ever learn:

how to PROPERLY wrap a mic cable!

It's not as easy as it sounds, but we'll get in some good practice so you can continue working on it at home.

Please arrive on time (code for "a little early"). Allow extra time for traffic and parking. There is free parking in the parking lot which is large, however sometimes it gets full because of the great restaurants. There is also free street parking.
