This is an IBM sponsored Meetup group geared towards developers, data scientists, data engineers, and ALL Big Data, Cloud and AI enthusiasts. Our meetups provide an opportunity to work hands on with the solutions and tools in our Big Data portfolio and to interact and share knowledge with experts at IBM and in our extended community.Our Meetups typically include a 45-60 minute presentation that serves as an introduction and overview for a specific Data or Cognitive topic, as well as other topics that the community is interested in. It is followed by a possible demonstration or networking with fellow developers to collaborate on applying your data skills. Depending upon the location, we can provide a cloud environment with the technologies needed, that you can use from your laptop at NO cost to you. Our meetups are FREE.

Open Source Responsible AI Evening Meetup

Introduction
Join us for an evening of open source AI. During the first hour, we'll start with some hands-on for students about a coding assistant called Bob (although all can join and learn). Students can compete in these challenges:- July: Challenge 1 | August: Challenge 2 | Total Prize Pool $15,000 USD
September: Grand Winner Announcement | October: Winner Spotlight at TechXchange Atlanta
At 6pm we'll have refreshments and networking, followed by sessions that describe AI open source activities at the Linux Foundation, the United Nations, and the community at large. There will be plenty of time for Q&A.
We are thrilled that some of our speakers are also presenting or leading sessions at the United Nations Open Source Week on June 22-26.The event will be hosted by Dr Joan DeBello of St John's University and Susan Malaika of IBM & Generative AI Commons. Much appreciation to St John's University for providing the space and for their support.
