BP FLAGSTAFF MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDE — Foothills of the Peaks

BP members and guests: Come up for Jim’s Flagstaff rides one day early for a flow-y and casual mountain bike ride starting at our place on San Francisco Street. Bring your mountain bike for a beautiful ride skirting the mountains. This ride includes very low traffic paved roads and trails with enough singletrack to satisfy mountain bikers.

Outline of Route:

Starting on North San Francisco Street, we’ll ride up to North Quintana Drive and follow it up to a connecting trail to Mt. Elden Lookout Road. Heading up to where the pavement ends, we’ll follow a singletrack trail over to the Arizona Trail. Then it’s down a fun trail before a gentle climb up to Buffalo Park and back down to our start. This section of the Arizona Trail has been improved and it’s now very smooth. This ride is around 12 miles with only 900 feet of easy climbing. Mountain bikes and helmets are necessary. Cold beverages and snacks will be provided after the ride.
