What we’re about
Most Bike Prescott rides are for road and e-bikes. If a ride is designed for gravel or mountain bikes, the title of the posting will state that.

Bike Prescott Safe Group-Riding Guidelines (predictability is the key to safety)
- Riders must wear a helmet. Taillights strongly suggested. Mirrors and brightly-colored clothing may help you see and be seen.
- Riders must carry emergency contact information.
- Do not wear anything in your ears that prevents you from hearing what is going on around you.
- Riders must obey traffic laws.
- Understand how to safely navigate various traffic configurations and turns. Refer to the Arizona Bicycling Street Smarts Manual. Here’s the link:
http://www.azbikeped.org/bicycling-street-smarts.asp
- Ride single-file and stay to the right except when road conditions allow.
- Don’t bunch up at traffic lights (creates traffic confusion).
- As a general rule, pass other riders on their left. Say “on your left”. If for some reason you decide to pass on someone’s right, call out: “On your right”.
- Point out hazards and route turns verbally and/or with hand signals.
- Keep together as a unit as much as possible at intersections. (“One larger thing” is more visible and less confusing to cars than “smaller separate things.”)
- Riders who want to be dropped or go off on their own must tell someone.

See all- Tour de Wednesdays: Western HillsDenny's, Prescott, AZ
With monsoon showers in the forecast I'm picking a route that never gets too far from town and is easy to shorten. The Western Hills ride is 33 miles with 3700' of climbing. The climbs include Granite Basin, Iron Springs, Skyline Drive and Thumb Butte Road. Regroups at the top of each climb.
The Tour de Wednesdays is a challenging ride. The pace is brisk and there are limited stops. Pace varies to suit each week's participants and similarly paced riders ride together. Join us!
Helmets required, lights highly recommended, E-Bikes welcome. For more information check out our safe group riding guidelines.
- Wednesday Gravel Ride - Kehl SpringsNeeds location
We had so much fun the first time we're doing it again!! You won't want to miss this ride. And another early posting so you can make plans for this special ride shared with us by Craig Swetel. He's put together a gravel ride which is at a higher elevation for cooler weather, great gravel roads, stupendous views and minimal car traffic.
What makes this ride even better is that after the ride we'll meet Max Davenport for lunch in Strawberry. That's why we're doing the gravel ride on Wednesday because restaurants are closed on Mondays.
This gravel ride makes a 25 mile loop along the Mogollon Rim of central Arizona. Park just north of the Mustang Gas Station and Convenient Store at the designated Forest Service Parking area located at Mile post, 290 AZ-87. We'll do an extra 1/2 mile along the Rim Road and take a break at the "Hi View Point" overlook. Gravel, Mtn and e-bikes are welcome.
GPX: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/43038920 - Thursday Fun Ride to PauldenMemory Park, Chino Valley, AZ
We'll start at Memory Park in Chino Valley, take Road 3 across Hwy 89 to Rd 1 East. At Rd 4 N, we will go to Hwy 89 and follow 89 to Old Hwy 89 then to the Depot 89 Marketplace which is our turnaround point. (FYI, we ride for 3 miles on 89 in each direction. There is a wide shoulder, with fast-moving traffic on 89.) Return the same way with a right on Rd 5 N to return to the park on Rd 1 West. Total mileage approx. 18 miles, elevation gain 450', mostly on the return. Optional additional mileage by riding the Yuma rollers. All of the ride is on pavement, restrooms and water available at the start/finish and at the Depot 89.

The Thursday Fun Rides are a series of road rides designed for the less experienced rider and anyone who may want a less challenging ride. Most rides will be 15-20 miles in length and as flat as we can make them given Prescott's surroundings. Pace is expected to be in the 12+ mph range, and we will ride at the pace of the slowest rider. Regroups and stops as needed. HELMETS REQUIRED, LIGHTS RECOMMENDED. Guests are welcome. However Bike Prescott insurance covers club members only. To become a member join us at Bike Prescott.
