NOVEMBER GABA MEETING: Haute Route Alps

Our speaker at the November GABA meeting will be GABA member John Bailiff. John will share with us his experience of cycling in a 6-day race – the Haute Route Alps – from Geneva, Switzerland to Nice, France.
The race involved 500 miles of cycling with 1500 other bicyclists, and it included 30,000 feet of climbing. He rode with a 6-person team that included him and two other Tucson cyclists, plus three young French cyclists who all had type-1 (insulin dependent) diabetes. Perhaps most impressive is that John did this ride when he was 78 years old!
Please join your fellow GABA members to hear John’s story (and feel free to bring guests). The meeting will be held in the conference room at the at the Catalina United Methodist Church at 2700 E Speedway Blvd (SW corner of Speedway and Treat) starting at 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 13, 2025. There is free parking across the street at the SE corner.
