Festive Metric from Nexxis B/2/63

Ride Description:
This metric is to support participants of the annual Rapha Festive 500. It will be a full loop around Tucson from Pour My Coffee on Nexxis, with extra miles in the Tucson Mountain Foothills. We will make our usual stop for coffee at Ren Coffee House in Saint Phillips Plaza at 44 miles. From there we will return to Nexxis via The Loop along the Rillito, Pantano, and Julian Greenway.

This is a "Training" ride with everyone responsible for their own navigation. Regrouping will be about every ten miles for a few minutes. if you are farther off the pace than that, please navigate to the coffee shop or finish on your own.

This ride is limited to twelve riders.

Participation rules:
Your GABA membership should be current. Please obey traffic laws and represent GABA well. Bring food & fluids for 4 hours. Front and back flashing lights are encouraged on The Loop. Helmets must be worn at all times while riding. This ride is unsupported.

Notes:
Start Time: Arrive by. 7:45 AM for sign-in. Wheels rolling by 8:00 AM.
Final rolling average-17+ mph.
Terrain: Relatively flat bike paths and streets with bike lanes.
Total Elevation Gain: 1624 ft.
Traffic: Special attention is required along Ajo and the VA Center.
