Details
Ride Description:
This will be a shortened Eastside ride as GABA member Amy has invited us to her house afterwards for brunch. The route should be familiar to most GABA members, but the start will be new. We’ll be starting from Amy’s house (more info in Details below).
This is a C paced ride meaning the final average should be between 12-14 MPH, though the pace during the ride may exceed that occasionally. Riders should stay within sight of the main group.

Please Note: The Start point is not exact. The exact point will be messaged to you after you sign up.
We will ride from the start point we will ride to Sabino Canyon Road where we will turn right. Then we will ride up Sabino Canyon continuing straight onto Kolb Road. Sometime after we cross Sunrise Drive, near the crest of the climb, Kolb turns into Craycroft Road.
At mile 6.4, just before we begin to descend on Craycroft, we will do a soft regroup at East Placita Alta Reposa. Ride just past where East Placita Alta Reposa meets Craycroft and wait on the side of the road for all riders to catch up.
We will then descend down Craycroft, crossing Sunrise Drive and River Road. Slow down immediately after crossing the Rillito River and turn into the Loop entrance. The group may become separated during the descent so we will do another soft regroup where we enter the Loop at mile 10.9.
From here the ride will be fairly flat so we will ride as group for the remainder of the ride. We will follow the Loop to the Sabino Canyon overpass. We will do a transition onto Sabino Canyon Road and then turn right onto Tanque Verde Road. Then we’ll enter Udall Park at the first park entrance for our rest break.
We’ll leave Udall Park getting back onto Tanque Verde which we’ll make a slight right onto Wrightstown Road. Next, we’ll make a left onto Pantano Road and immediately take a slight right onto the on-ramp taking us back to Tanque Verde.
Shortly after crossing the Tanque Verde Wash, we’ll turn right onto Woodland Road and follow Woodland until we take a right turn back onto Tanque Verde. From here the route is easy to follow. Take a right onto Houghton Road, cross the Tanque Verde Wash and turn right onto Speedway Blvd.
Then we’ll follow Speedway back to the Loop at the Pantano Wash, get on the Loop and take it to the Sabino Canyon exit. Once we transition onto Sabino Canyon Road we’ll go straight across Tanque Verde until we get to Cloud Road.
Turn right onto Cloud Road and follow it back to the start where Amy and her husband will be serving brunch, including breakfast tacos, salmon and bagels, fruit and baked treats courtesy of Bruce, plus beverages.
Wheels rolling at the start time listed above. Please arrive 15 minutes beforehand to sign the ride waiver.
