About us

Bilgola Surf Life Saving Club is a volunteer surf lifesaving club on Sydney's Northern Beaches. We patrol Bilgola Beach each season, run Bronze Medallion and SRC training, surf boats, nippers, and community water safety events. This group is for locals interested in surf lifesaving, ocean safety, and what it means to be part of one of Australia's great beach communities. All welcome.

Ever watched the lifesavers on your local beach and wondered what it actually takes?
Bilgola Surf Life Saving Club is throwing open the doors for a free community Lifesaving Open Day at Bilgola Beach — and everyone is welcome.
Come get a real, behind-the-scenes look at surf lifesaving in action. Live rescue demonstrations on the water, a hands-on CPR and first aid showcase, surf boats, patrol walkthrough, meet the team, and a BBQ on the beach all afternoon.

Sunday Sippers at the clubhouse from 3:30pm

Whether you're curious about lifesaving, want to learn basic CPR, have a teenager who loves the ocean, or just want one last great Sunday at the beach before winter — this day is for you.

Free entry. No registration required. All ages welcome. Just show up.
