Have you ever wished you could explain your hometown or the place you live in a more attractive...or even more interesting way?
In this group, we'll work together to find creative and friendly ways to describe your town, your hometown, or your favorite place in more expressive English.
Whether you live near the Izu Peninsula or not, you are welcome to join us.
We are still working on our methods and techniques. We're looking forward to your participation!

About the host:
ROB HASHIBA
After a 10 year stint living in one of the worlds' biggest metroplois Tokyo. I moved to the Izu Peninsula in 2016 and ran a new type of homestay facility until just before the Corona fiasco. Having moved around the world and Japan since childhood, I am interested in languages and local cultures.

このグループでは「自分の住んでいる町」や「地元のあの場所」または「とっておきの場所」をどうやったらより表現的な英語で説明できるかを、創意工夫、切磋琢磨しながら、一緒に勉強していきます。
伊豆半島近辺にお住まいの方も、そうでもない方もどちらも大歓迎です。
手法等はまだ研究中です。いろいろな方の参加をお待ちしております！

【自分について】
都心部でのおよそ１０年間の生活の後、２０１６年に伊豆半島に移り住み、コロナ騒動が起こる寸前まで、新しい形のホームステイ施設を運営していました。幼少期から海外や日本各地を転々としているため、言語やその地域に根付いた文化に興味があります。
