Real Vegan Cheese iGEM team meeting & special guest Ellen Jorgensen

Details
BioCurious and our sister lab Counter Culture Labs (http://www.counterculturelabs.org/) in Oakland are putting together a team for iGEM (http://igem.org/Main_Page) - the 10th international Genetically Engineered Machine competition. The topic we've chosen for our project is Vegan Cheese, expressing casein proteins in yeast - check out our wiki (https://wiki.counterculturelabs.org/index.php/Vegan_cheese) and recently launched Indiegogo campaign (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/real-vegan-cheese/x/2136190)!
We will be virtually hosting Ellen Jorgensen, cofounder and Executive Director of Genspace and cochair of the first Community Labs track at iGEM. She'll tell us about her experience with iGEM and then open it up to Q&A.

Feel free to come check us out, whether you are already part of the iGEM team or not. We're hoping to actually get work done in these meetings, so we will likely not give an extensive introduction to any newbies, but you're more than welcome to sit in and absorb some biohacking-in-action. This is your opportunity to join a working iGEM team.
Call in information:

For now, we will be meeting every first Monday of the month at BioCurious, and the other Mondays in Oakland.
$10 donation suggested.
