Hosted by Origins Unity, celebrating five years of community practice
A mid day session of breathwork, guided meditation, deliberate cold exposure in Puget Sound, Qi Gong, and a potluck with a curious, health-minded crowd. There will be protein pancakes! π₯ All activities are optional, coming to connect with each other is what matters.
Why it works
- Cold water sharply raises norepinephrine and dopamine and activates brown fat. Expect a lasting lift in mood and alertness.
- Breathwork gives you direct control over your stress response. Different breathing patterns can raise or lower your arousal on demand.
- Purpose is one of the strongest psychological predictors of a long life. The Fire Within meditation works on that question directly: What lights you up? Why do you do what you do?
Insight might come right away, or it might take ongoing practice. You don't need anything special to happen. Show up, try it, and enjoy the people around you.
