As soon as I decided to start up my winter hiking, I started getting pains here and there and everywhere and I’ve been afraid to hike! But, my PT says, not moving is never the answer, and to just keep the elevation low for now. The weekend weather is finally looking decent, so let’s go!

We’ll revisit one of hikes from last year.
I love a loop and I love water features, so this was a perfect choice! The elevation gain is only 298 ft. Plus it's close to Canton, MA, so come join us friends from Boston and the South Shore!

This is a 6.8 mile loop around Ponkapoag Pond. The loop starts from a parking area near the ice rink and golf course. I'd say to bring microspikes and gaiters in your bag just in case. And of course, layer, layer, layer!

Bring water, snacks, and an adventurous attitude! Remember, I'm not a trained guide. I'm just a girl who likes to hike, but doesn't want to hike alone! LOL I also am doing my part to get people of color together and out on the trails!
