Sharpen Your Bird Identification Skills at Kachina Wetlands
Saturday August 16th
7am to 9:30 am

Shorebird migration is in full swing, warbler migration is beginning, and juveniles of many species are out and about.

Bird identification can be tricky this time of year, and Kachina Wetlands could be full of surprises. Sharpen your identification skills with biologist Harry Jones, one of Coconino County's highly skilled birders, on Saturday, August 16th, 7am to 9:30 am.

Meeting Point: Meet at the entrance to Kachina Wetlands at 7 am.

What to Bring: Please bring binoculars if you have them, along with water, a hat, and sunscreen. The walk will be about two miles over flat terrain on packed dirt. Wheelchair accessible.

Directions: From Flagstaff, take 1-17 south to the Kachina Village exit. Immediately turn right onto Tovar Trail and follow it for a mile to the end. Turn right into an unpaved parking area.

Any questions, contact Harry Jones at [hjones@birdpop.org](mailto:hjones@birdpop.org)
