Butterfly Walk at Kachina Wetlands
Wednesday September 24, 2025
9:30am to 11:30am

Our partner, BENA (Butterfly Enthusiasts of Northern Arizona), is hosting a special butterfly walk at the Kachina Wetlands, a Northern Arizona Audubon Society (NAAS) sanctuary site.

Join naturalist Becky Hardy as she introduces some of Northern Arizona’s higher elevation butterfly species. We’ll walk about 1.5 miles on mostly flat trails, looking for blooming flowers and butterflies. Along the way, Becky will share fun facts about these incredible pollinators — and you may even spot a bird or two in this rich habitat!

Meeting point: Meet in dirt parking lot.

What to bring: Hydration, closed-toed sturdy shoes, binoculars, hat, sunscreen, snacks, and a camera if you’d like.

This event is free and open to everyone. More information visit butterflyenthusiastsofnaz.org
