Birding and More with the Tahoma Bird Alliance

Join avid birder Art Wang for this walk around Point Ruston and Dune Peninsula Park. This is an introductory walk suitable for all skill levels. Expect to see a variety of waterbirds including comorants, scoters, grebes, and goldeneyes. Sometimes participants are lucky enough to spot whales! Meet at Anthem Coffee in Ruston, 5005 Mainstreet, at 9AM.

Walks will run November 2023 through April 2024 and resume again in fall of 2024.

Join Tahoma Bird Alliance volunteer Jonathan Levy for a walk around Wapato Lake Park. This park is a haven for local and migratory bird species, thanks to the year round water source and mature trees. Meet at the arches by the main parking lot on S Cushman and S 68th St. The walk will follow the paved trail around the lake. This walk is suitable for all ages and skill levels, but minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Join us for Feederwatch on Mondays and Tuesdays this year. Watch birds from the comfort of the Adriana Hess Conference room and socialize with other birders while contributing data to a nationwide community science project! Project Feederwatch runs November through April.
