Join us for a relaxed early spring bird walk at Mount Tabor Park with Rose City Bird Collective, led by Nicole. We’ll explore this unique southeast Portland park at an easy pace, stopping often to watch and listen for birds in a mix of wooded and open habitats. Birders of all experience levels are welcome.

What to Expect

  • Beginner-friendly bird identification help throughout the walk
  • Relaxed pace with frequent stops for viewing, listening, and questions
  • Welcoming, social group atmosphere with plenty of shared learning

Mount Tabor’s wooded slopes, open lawns, and reservoir edges make it a great place for a gentle spring walk with a nice variety of early spring migrants. We’ll cover an easy-to-moderate route on paved and dirt paths, with some hills and stairs as we move through the park.
