Join us for a relaxed, beginner-friendly birding walk at Camassia Nature Preserve, hosted by FBC.PDX and led by Julia More. Come celebrate the Solstice + Julia's birthday while enjoying birds, wildflowers, and one of the region's most beautiful natural areas. This casual outing focuses on beginner-friendly bird identification, photography, and spending time in community.
What to Expect
This outing is designed as an affinity event for Queer, BIPOC, and/or Neurodivergent folks who want to spend time birding in a welcoming community space.
• A friendly, social atmosphere for birders of all experience levels
• This is a slow-paced, out-and-back walk covering about 0.5–1 mile on mostly flat trails. We'll make frequent stops for birding, photography, and conversation.
• No birding experience is necessary, and participants without binoculars are welcome.

Weather + What to Wear
Dress for the weather of the day and wear comfortable walking shoes suitable for gravel and dirt trails. Bringing water, sun protection, and a camera is encouraged.
