Special guest author event - Cleaner by Jess Shannon

Join us for a really special evening as we welcome Jess Shannon, who will be joining our next book club meeting to discuss her debut novel!

Cleaner is a darkly comedic literary debut novel about a young woman who moves back home, develops an obsession with cleaning, and gets drawn into a world of art and unexpected connections after posing as a nude model. Published in August 2025, it's described as a raw, honest, and funny exploration of loneliness, self-expression, and being adrift in your twenties, drawing comparisons to Mrs. Hinch meets Luster and being called "Gen Z's Lady Macbeth".

Jess Shannon was born and raised in Birmingham. She lives and works in Solihull and hates cleaning :)
