🏉 England v Wales – Six Nations 🏉
Six Nations is my favourite time of year — even when being Welsh currently feels like an act of emotional resilience rather than sporting enjoyment 😩. Wales are on a terrible run of form, England are flying… but I remain, as ever, stubbornly optimistic.
This will be the sixth time I’ve run this England v Wales Meetup and it’s always drawn a great crowd: friend and foe alike, plenty of banter, and a cracking atmosphere — whatever the scoreline.
We’ll be watching the game at The Gosta Green, a great pub for rugby with:
• Lots of screens
• Lots of beer
• Decent pub grub
• And the usual backdrop of carefree students blissfully unaware of the working life awaiting them

🕓 England v Wales kick-off: 4:40pm
📍 I’ll be there from around 4:15pm until about 7:00pm
After the match, people often:
• Stick around for post-match drinks
• Head into town to celebrate / commiserate
• Or grab some food (personally, I’ll be defaulting to Wales’ national dish… curry)
Whether you’re backing England, Wales, or just fancy a sociable pint with good company, you’re more than welcome. And if you don’t like rugby at all — that’s fine too.
So come along, enjoy the banter, and watch as the old enemies go head to head among friends.
