Mental Health Support Group

This is a social support group that meets every Saturday for people who may be having problems with their mental health (anxiety, depression etc) and fancy a chat (about mental health or anything really!)
Feel free to arrive any time during the event hours and stay for as long or as short as you'd like. We normally arrive after 230-3 and start to think about leaving by 5ish. But people are free to do what they feel comfortable with.
Meeting with people and sharing any issues you have with others who are going through the same can be very beneficial in itself. You will find that you are not alone and may find ideas or strategies to improve mental health. Modern technology appears to make people more connected than ever, but in reality, the opposite often happens and leads to social isolation. This is a big reason for mental health problems, and meeting in person is a perfect antidote to this. Some of the areas we may discuss might be practising "Gratitude" and techniques to help you move from a "negative psychology" to a "positive psychology". How to move away from "Self Obsession" and "Self Pity". Meetup participants are free to discuss any topics of interest. Tea, coffee, bar drinks and snacks can be purchased in the lounge/bar of the AC hotel. We normally sit in the back left corner of the AC lounge infront of the windows. Quite often, we will go for a meal after the meetup (usually 5:30 pm to 6 pm)
