Canal walk- Brindleyplace & Cadburys factory chocolate stop. Part 1 event.

Come and join myself and Mark again for another leisurely gentle walk alongside the canal while enjoying some conversations, nature and hopefully some lovely weather!

Meeting point will be at the Solomon Cutler pub on Broad street and we'll wait for around 15 minutes before setting off, so please be on time if wanting to catch us before we set off!

The walk will be approximately 12km and will take around 3 to 3 1/2 hours.
We'll be walking along Birmingham & Worcester and North Stratford canals.

They'll be multiple drop out points as we pass 3 railway stations, so options for anyone wanting to leave early.
They'll be a halfway snack and toilet break at Selly Oak as there's a big Sainsbury's there, so can replenish drinks also if needed.
We'll be popping into the shop at Cadburys chocolate factory so anyone wanting to treat themselves to some chocolate can do so! Maybe just bring along a bag to comfortably carry anything brought while continuing with the walk.

Our end point for part 1 will be at The Horseshoe Inn Pub, 611 Alcester Rd South, Birmingham B14 5EL.
They'll be a bus from there that can catch into Kings Heath and maybe Birmingham city centre also for anyone wishing to depart and finish and make your way home.
Those wishing to stay and have drinks will be very welcome! Also please check out our part 2 event which we'll continue into, with more pubs to follow on in a couple of different places and food as well somewhere I imagine after our long walk!

Be mindful to wear comfortable footwear and clothing appropriate for the weather on the day and to bring suncream if due warmer weather. Also a good idea to bring along a bottle of water to quench thirst along the way and keep hydrated.
