The Lunatic, the Lover, and the Poet is Shakespeare turned topsy turvy: a bisexual love-triangle inspired by Shakespeare′s own sonnets, featuring a sexy young Hamlet. Very readable--no olde English. We're discussing the first half of this book in Feb and the second half in March.
Come and join the discussion even if you havent read the book because we read paragraphs from the book aloud and discuss them.
Note: The Shakespeare Sonnets, and Shakespeare, were bisexual.
After the book discussion we'll be doing a bi T-shirt photo shoot to make a photographic record of my collection, before it is donated to the Center archive. Come bi to model or to refold T-shirts. We need models sizes M-3X.
Next book: The Lunatic, the Lover, and the Poet by Myrlin A. Hermes-2nd half. Shakespeare turned topsy turvy: a clever bisexual mashup between a sexy young Hamlet and characters from the sonnets. Very readable--no olde English. Note: The Sonnets, and Shakespeare, were bisexual.
Deciding Books: We will be voting on what books we want to read next, so check our lists of Bisexual Book Award finalists (http://www.biwriters.org/book-award-finalists-winners/) for some ideas.
Venue: Bureau of General Services Queer Division (http://bgsqd.com/) Bookstore at the LGBT Center, 2nd fl. Rm. 210, phone (646) 457-0859.
