NYC Tri-State Area Bisexual+ SGL Queer & Questioning Meetup

Virtual hang out for bi+/pan/fluid people in any aspect of The Arts. We will introduce ourselves and talk about the kind of art we do whether writing, music, painting, photography, theater, fashion, graphic arts, crafting, etc.

Bisexual Arts & Crafts: share what you've been working on lately. Does Hanukkah/Christmas provide inspiration? Is anyone making artistic presents for loved ones? For sale? Bring an example of your art to share. Writers may read, musicians play, songwriters sing, painters/ photographers/ comic artists read & show, etc.

We have more tools against trolls now: I'll be able to mute them and get rid of them if they show up this time.

Join BiRequest's first (or at least first in a long time) discussion group for ALL who self identify Male/Masc/MoC/AMAB and as Bisexual+, Biromantic+, MSpec (Multi-gender Attraction Spectrum) and otherwise Queer-identified or Questioning regardless of Labels or the Lack of them.

Join like minded dudes as we discuss topics facing our corner of the community.

Our regular meetings for ALL folx of every Gender & Gender Presentation including but not limited to Cis, Genderfluid, Intersex, Nonbinary, Trans, and more may join us at our Zoom-based Meetings held every 1st Monday and 4th Wednesday, from 6-8pm and at our in person meetings every 3rd Thursday, from 6:30pm-8:00pm at the Manhattan Pride Center.

We work hard to foster a safe space for non-judgemental peer support while actively valuing racial and gender diversity, sex- and body-positivity, as well as the litany of intersecting identities that folks walk into the room embracing.

CW: Please note that BiRequest discussions can involve sensitive topics. For anyone who is triggered by anything in the discussion or needs to discuss a personal matter, multiple BiRequest facilitators will be available at the meetings. Please talk to one of us.

BiRequest (www.birequest.org) has existed in one form or another, serving the New York City metropolitan area, since the early 1990's. We're a community-based support and discussion group serving the metro NYC area... all volunteer-run, open to bi+ identifying folx and our allies.

We're all folx who've been there. We know what it's like to be ostracized, set aside and erased as bisexual people. We are folx who identify as pansexual, same-gender-loving people, sexually and affectionately fluid. We are the B in LGBT.

We are a multi-racial and many gendered and variously sex'd people. We are uniquely challenged and able in many different ways. We work towards the realization of our collective liberation.

SideBiSide is a friendly, warm and accepting Bisexual+ Discussion Group for all people under the Bi+ Umbrella, that provides a free, supportive, safe space for our community where you can be YOU.

Our goal is to support healing from biphobia and bisexual erasure and advocate for greater acceptance and empowerment as approximately HALF of LGBTQ+ people identify as bisexual.

This is a peer support group, not a professional-therapy group. The meetings are moderated. We discuss current events affecting the LGBTQ+ community, and then focus on a discussion topic generated with input from folks around the circle or by the moderator. We do also hold space for attendees who might need to deal with an issue in the moment.
