About us
Want to write a musical but don't know where to start?
If you are a songwriter, playwright, actor, singer, musician, or anyone else interested in creating new musical theater pieces, you are welcome to attend our weekly meetings. Together over the next few months we will be pairing off to write original theatrical scenes with music, workshopping and refining our work, and eventually putting on a showcase for an audience of invited guests.
Bring your scripts, your instruments, and your voices. We will act out each other's scenes, sing each other's songs, discuss and give feedback. Together we will make original theater happen in Brooklyn!

Musical Theater Workshop

We are the Brooklyn Alternative Musical Theater Collective, and we'd love for you to join us at the lovely Secret Pour by the Kosciuszko J train to showcase some of our works in progress.
Do you have short scenes you want to be read aloud? Do you have songs you want to perform? Good news, we have talented actors and singers ready to engage with your material. Need feedback on your work? Just ask! We’ll rip it to shreds!
Submit original works to be shared at the workshop by filling out this form. If your work is selected, we will contact you in advance of the workshop.
