Black DMV Social Club is a community for Black adults throughout Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia who want to get out, meet new people, make real connections, and experience more of what the DMV has to offer.
Whether you're new to the area, newly single, looking to expand your social circle, or you've lived here forever and simply want something different to do — come outside.
Some of our events are created specifically for singles. Some are designed for particular age groups, including our 40+ community. And others are simply great social experiences where everyone is welcome.

## Singles Events Done Differently

We believe a successful singles event isn't simply about putting a lot of people in a room.

### Who is in the room matters.

That's why, whenever possible, our singles experiences are intentionally promoted with gender balance in mind.
The goal isn't to promise anyone they'll find their soulmate.
It's to create better opportunities for people to meet, mingle, laugh, flirt, have fun, and make genuine connections in real life.

## Not Everything Is About Dating

This is important.
You do not have to be single to be part of this community.
Some nights we're helping singles meet.
Other nights we're dancing to the music we grew up on, trying a new restaurant, catching a show, having drinks, taking a trip, or simply getting a good group of people together.
Because sometimes you aren't looking for a date.

### You just need somewhere GOOD to go.

## More Than Just Events

The original spirit of this community was about bringing Black people together, welcoming newcomers, building friendships, networking, and creating real connections.
We're continuing that mission — and giving it some new energy.
