BlackOut SF: End of Year Turn-Up
Details
About this event
Join us for our End-of-Year Turn-Up at Mission Bowling Club! We're gathering Black folks from around San Francisco to celebrate the close of the year with bowling, drinks, and community vibes. This is a pay-your-own-way event—we'll curate the space and hold it down while you enjoy your own lane and refreshments. If Meetup RSVPs fill up, check our overflow list on Partiful
Who this is for
- Black folks in San Francisco and the Bay Area
- Anyone looking for a low-pressure space to connect and vibe
- Whether you're new to the city or a longtime resident, come solo or with friends—we've got you.
What to expect
- Bowling lanes reserved just for our group (you'll pay for your lane and shoe rental)
- Great music, laughter, and chances to meet new people
- Drinks and food available for purchase at the venue
- Our team will be there to welcome you and keep the energy relaxed and inclusive
Getting there
Parking in the Mission can be tricky. We recommend:
- Arriving early to find street parking
- Using the nearby Mission‑Bartlett Garage (3255 21st Street)
- Carpooling, rideshare, or public transit (16th Street Mission BART is nearby)
RSVP policy
Space is limited and our lanes are reserved based on RSVPs. If your plans change, please update your RSVP so another member can attend. Respect the space and each other—we don't tolerate hate, misogyny, homophobia, or transphobia. If this event is full here on Meetup, you can still RSVP through our overflow list on Partiful
Let's close out the year together with joy, connection, and a few strikes!
