LET'S GO TENT CAMPING!

Let's Go Camping in tents! Games, S'mores and More with Black Everywhere Philadelphia! This will be a fun, newbie-friendly campout in the Poconos.

Yes, Black folks camp! We're going to unplug (slightly) and inject some nature into our lives. The Hickory Run State Park will afford us opportunities to check out Boulder Field, bike, hike to the waterfalls, swim in the lake, and/or fish. For the adventurous, there are indoor water parks, whitewater rafting, paintball, and horseback riding within 30 minutes drive. Perhaps you'd prefer to drive to Mountainview Winery or just sit at your campsite and whittle (do people still whittle?). The Poconos have everything and, the best part is, you're only 1.5 hours from home! This campout is perfect for singles, couples, friend groups, first-time campers or experts.

Remember that you don't have to sleep in a typical tent on the ground. You can camp in your SUV or truck (look up car camping), rent a trailer or a van, or sleep in a hammock tent. Bring an air mattress and a propane stove; make this as rough or as easy as you like! Our campsites are right next to the shower house/bathrooms. There is electricity on each campsite!

Thursday evening, 7 pm: Welcome Happy Hour, light dinner, icebreakers, bonfire, & Smores
Friday morning, 11 AM: Group beach party
Friday evening, 7 pm: Group Happy Hour, picture, and interactive game night, bonfire, and S'mores
Saturday: Choose your own adventure! Whitewater rafting, hiking, winery tours, sleeping, horseback riding...whatever you want!
Saturday evening 7PM: Farewell Happy Hour, Games, Bonfire, and Smores
Sunday 3pm: Clean up your campsite and head home

Although camping is an activity for all ages, the recommended minimum age of attendees for this event is 21. This event is an opportunity for Adults to have the safe space to feel like a kid again with an adult twist.

Cost is $130 for the weekend campsite rental, DUE JULY 15TH
each campsite has room for 5 people.

Transportation from Philadelphia is NOT included. Attendees must arrange their own transportation to and from the campgrounds.
