What we're about

Blacks In Technology Nashville is the official chapter for the greater Nashville region of the dynamic, growing, vibrant Blacks in Technology non-profit corporation.

This is a group for Black IT professionals. The purpose of this group is to network, learn best industry practices, and to advance your Information Technology career. This is a group for individuals interested in IT certifications, industry best practices, study groups, and anything IT related. Even though we are a group for Black IT Professionals, we do not discriminate against anyone, instead we want to uplift and encourage any and everyone.

We educate people and seek to increase the representation of Black women and men in technology. It’s proven, enterprises that embrace diversity yield the most innovative solutions. We’re talking about the whole gamut from tech founders, software developers, scientists, digital media specialists, system engineers, webmasters, technicians, QA folks, social media strategists, cybersecurity analysts, online marketing experts, UI/UX artists, recruiters, bloggers, operations staff, project managers – and many, many more technology professionals, students and educators.

We include all races and ethnicities. Non-technologist supporters are welcome in our community. The doors are wide open for those folks who are simply just passionate about all things technical.

Be sure to join BIT as an official member at https://foundation.blacksintechnology.net/join-bit/ . It's free to join and members receive free and discounted products, services, and training resources.
