BLAZE>> is a group for gay men in NYC that crave being outdoors and are passionate about backpacking and backcountry camping. New to backpacking? No worries, our members range from beginner trekkers with lots of enthusiasm to seasoned adventurers with years of experience to share. We are committed to challenging ourselves by trekking to isolated places of remarkable beauty, but our trips are as much about the journey as they are about being an über athlete.

(all trail milage discrepancy)A Carter Wildcat Traverse is a 2-3 day, 20 mile traverse of the entire Carter and Wildcat Mountain Ranges, including Mounts Moriah, North Carter, Middle Carter, South Carter, Hight, Carter Dome, and Wildcats A, B, C, D, and E. Hikers are treated to fantastic views of Mt Washington, The Great Gulf, Mt Jefferson, Adams, and Madison to the west, and the Baldface Range to the east, on this epic ridge walk.

- Duration: 3days two nights
- Difficulty Level: Moderate to Strenuous

For experienced backpackers only. Limited to 5 for carpooling logistic purposes.

- Water: At least 2 liters
