About us

Blister Sisters is a social fitness group and hiking club for women of all ages founded by Heidi Schroeder, a native Idahoan whose father is credited for the Boise Greenbelt. The first Blister Sisters chapter originated in Oregon with chapters in Idaho and Florida. If you want to create a circle of fun and creative friends of all ages with a health oriented mindset, and enjoy being outdoors, this group is for you! We offer a wide variety of unique social activities for women with a focus on health and fitness to facilitate connections and make lasting friendships. Most hikes are faster paced for speedy walkers! Join us for trail clean-ups and conservation projects as well as a variety of social activities such as: tubing, yoga charities, painting, happy hours, volunteering, game nights, paddle board pilates, fitness in the park, rafting, dinner nights, kayaking, archery, crafting, happy hours, and unique parties and fitness activities. We volunteer and host charity events to make a difference in our community.

Blister Sisters is for connecting and making lasting friendships. Hikes are FAST paced unless otherwise specified! Please do not rsvp for hikes unless you can keep up with a group at a speedy pace so we can stay together on trails. Hikes for all speeds will be posted as such. Dogs and kids are also welcome to specified events as noted on each activity.

Heidi and co-hosts are volunteers dedicating time to help you meet new friends and make fun memories. Your rsvp indicates you understand you are responsible for yourself while attending Blister Sister activities and will not hold activity coordinators liable. All outdoor activities have inherent risks. Blister Sisters is a great way to create a support network and social connections.
