Data privacy is an increasing challenge for enterprises dealing directly with consumer data, with stricter government regulations. This is restricting the ability to utilise such data to enhance business operations. Jupiter Chain addresses this challenge with blockchain technology to allow for privacy-preserving data assessment. In this talk, we will demonstrate a use case for micro-finance and how users’ data can be used for credit scoring. In addition, the speakers will also share about the applications of blockchain in various industries and the opportunities for businesses seeking to adopt this new technology.

Speakers
Branson Lee, Co-Founder and CEO of ecxx.com
Branson spearheads ecxx.com, a Digital Asset Exchange based in Singapore with the aim to power future finance. Concurrently, he is an executive committee member of the Singapore FinTech Association as Head of Talents and the Token Economy Association (SG).
With relationship as the core of people engagement, Branson accumulated over 10 years of experience in sales management for business information and technology companies dealing with Government / Statutory boards, Financial Institutions and Corporates in South East Asia. In his previous roles at Gartner and LinkedIn, Branson helped C-Suite Executives and businesses respectively to drive results through technology.
Branson has also been invited frequently to speak at conferences around Asia to raise awareness of fintech and drive adoption of blockchain for business transformation.
Dr Ernie Teo, CTO of JEDTrade
Dr Ernie Teo is a tech economist with a focus on game theory and applied microeconomics. As CTO of JEDTrade, he leads the blockchain R&D innovation and strategy for the company’s projects in ASEAN. This includes designing and building out JEDTrade’s blockchain platform, Jupiter Chain – a smart consentable data exchange for sharing of private data to enable access to tailored financial services. Prior to JEDTrade, Ernie was a research scientist at IBM Center for Blockchain Innovation where he works with corporate clients to apply blockchain to business use cases. Ernie is also an adjunct lecturer at the National University of Singapore’s School of Computing, Department of Information Systems and Analytics.
